Park Board Baseball

Youth baseball registration – Monday, May 4th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Wahpeton Community Center.  Online registration will be available by that time as well.  There will be a late fee of $10 per program for registrations accepted after May 15th.  Once the program starts in June, participants will receive a T-shirt from generous sponsors.  This program takes place at the Hughes Fields Complex.

 Tiny Tots – Boys and Girls, ages 3-4.  Thursdays from 6:30-7:15pm.  Starts June 9th and end on July 24th.  Parents would be required to stay and participate with their child.  Cost:  $20.   Picture Day:  Thursday, June 18th during regular practice time.

 T-Ball – Boys and Girls, ages 5-6.  Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9-10 a.m.  Starts on June 8th and ends on July 24th.  Cost:  $45.
 Picture Day:  Wednesday, June 17th during regular practice time.

Pee Wees – Boys and Girls, ages 7-8.  Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m. Starts on June 8th and ends on July 24h.  Cost:  $45.

This program is offered to anyone that wants to expand their baseball skills.  Small groups and individualized training will be provided.  The program will focus on hitting, pitching, fielding, base running and sportsmanship.  All participants will receive a t-shirt.  This is a great opportunity for all Twin Town baseball players looking to improve their baseball.

Ages 9-10 (Minors)

Twin Town Baseball League

Breckenridge Youth Program Twin Town Baseball (TTBL) is for 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds.  Minors – Ages 9-10 and Majors – Ages 11-12. May 1st of any year shall be the deciding date for players.  No exceptions on birth dates!  If you have any questions concerning this, please refer to the Babe Ruth Age Chart at or Julie Ekren at 218-280-7335 Travis Ekren 218-280-1439. Spring training date:  May 6th at the Wahpeton Community Center – 5:30-7:00 pm for Minors and 7:00-8:30 pm for Majors.  Teams will be selected by a draft process. Cost is $45 per player and includes a team hat, t-shirt and mandated Babe Ruth League insurance. Players will need to provide baseball pants, cleats (no metal spikes allowed) and a baseball glove. Registration deadline is April 30th. Late registration fee will be $70. There is no guarantee that you will be placed on a team if you register after April 30th. Babe Ruth

Registration forms are available for 13 year old and 14 year old baseball programs.  Any youth born prior to May 1, 2006 and on or after May 1, 2003 will be eligible for Babe Ruth 13-15 League competition.  The registration fee is $125 until March 27th and $150 until April 24thAfter April 24th the registration fee will be $200.

Babe Ruth League: Both the 13 and 14 year old teams will play  an EDC schedule where they will play all east teams both home and away to determine seeding into the state tournament.

Thursday, May 7th, 2020.  Registration:  5:30 pm, event starts at 6:00pm at John Randall Field in Chahinkapa Park.  The rain-out date will be Monday May 11th.  No pre-registration is required but a parent’s signature is needed on the form.  This free event is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the “FUN” element of baseball and softball competition.  Participants will compete in three important aspects of the game:  pitching, hitting, & running.  Boys and girls will compete separately and will be awarded and advance through all four levels of the competition in separate divisions.  The competition has four age groups, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 year old, (age determined as of July 17, 2020).  Scores are all submitted to Major League Baseball and winners will be selected from all other regional competitions to see who will advance on to the Minnesota Twins stadium to compete for a chance to move on to Nationals.  The sectional competition has been eliminated as of this year.


Baseball Committee

The Wahpeton Baseball Association meets on the second Monday of each month at Noon in the Community Center.  The Baseball Association supports the youth baseball programs in Wahpeton.

The Baseball Benefit will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 2020.



Last year North Dakota American Legion Baseball adopted a three league classification which are Class AA, Class A and Class B.
